Despite the concerns over “point solution fatigue” and a further fragmented health care delivery system, survey results show that many large employers want proven, integrated market solutions that minimize employee disruption and cost. More work needs to be done in this area, particularly because employers have indicated that employee adoption of point solutions has been a challenge and consumers may question their relevance and convenience. This report presents results from a Business Group large employer survey and insights from a Blue Cross Blue Shield Association survey of its consumer community. The results include information on the most prevalent point solutions, challenges employers have had implementing them and other key findings that could impact the future of how employers contract/partner with vendors for various health and welfare services.
