Germany’s health care system is deemed “one of the best in the world,” with the population life expectancy over 80 years old. According to a Gallup survey, when asked “How is your health?” 65% of Germans reported being in good health. The overall health care system provides many covered services, including; preventive services, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, physician services, mental health care, dental care, optometry, physical therapy, prescription drugs, medical aids, rehabilitation, hospice and palliative care, and sick leave compensation. Nonetheless, employers in Germany face their own set of challenges.
