The JoinJade Employer Collaborative seeks the commitment of employers to build hepatitis B awareness leading to prevention, and to create equal opportunity workplaces free from hepatitis B discrimination and stigma. Hepatitis B virus is vaccine-preventable, and effective treatment is available for those who are chronically infected. The collaborative efforts have focused in the San Francisco Bay Area and/or in China, where the virus is highly prevalent. This initiative is led by The Asian Liver Center and the Business Group on Health. This report showcases employer efforts with the JoinJade campaign on hepatitis B prevention and stigma reduction efforts through evidence-based communication tools, voluntary testing, treatment and vaccination.
