Business Group on Health Names New Board Members, Chief Strategy Officer

Appointment of Outstanding Executives Supports Organization’s Strategic Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 25, 2022Business Group on Health today announced three new board members as well as a new chief strategy officer, a key leadership position.

The board members, senior executives whose appointments are effective immediately, are Steve Braun, vice president of Global Benefits, Meta; Diana Han, MD, chief health and well-being officer, Unilever; and David Stark, MD, chief medical officer and head of HR Data, Analytics and Technology Strategy, Morgan Stanley.

“We welcome these outstanding leaders to the Business Group’s board of directors,” said Jim Huffman, board chair of Business Group on Health. “Their broad and deep range of experience will inform Business Group on Health for years to come.”

Braun of Meta has deep, multidisciplinary experience in human resources and finance at prominent companies that also include The Walt Disney Company, Macy’s and Procter & Gamble. He is a trusted leader, providing strategic insights to top company officials in an array of areas, including global benefits, well-being, finance, compliance and total rewards.

Dr. Han of Unilever is a physician executive with a strong record of strategic leadership, clinical excellence and operational success across the global health care ecosystem and its adjacencies. Prior to Unilever, Dr. Han served as chief medical officer and global medical director for GE.

Dr. Stark of Morgan Stanley has built a career spanning both ends of the health care spectrum: as a physician, working directly with patients, and as a bioinformatician, working with data to drive health research and new technology development. A licensed physician who is board certified in pediatric neurology and clinical informatics. Dr. Stark joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 from Mount Sinai Health System.

Jim Winkler, who most recently served as senior vice president and global chief innovation officer, Health Solutions, Aon, was named the Business Group’s chief strategy officer. In his role at Aon, Winkler served as executive liaison to the Business Group and participated in many Business Group on Health strategic forums. His deep experience, robust relationships and knowledge of emerging industry trends position him well for this role.
