The Business Group and others are engaging with policymakers to help avoid the Medicare Secondary Payer requirements being transformed into a parity and mandate with respect to dialysis coverage and treatment. Following a 2022 US Supreme Court decision proposals were submitted that would have impacted employer plan coverage requirements. While those proposals expired with the 117th Congress, a new, revised proposal in HR 6860 presents additional potential challenges to employer plans.
