In the U.S., the prevalence of employers utilizing telemedicine has increased from 7% in 2012 to 96% in 2018. Global companies are hoping to provide these services to their locations abroad. While there is interest in having one global vendor for this space, virtual health solutions are in their infancy with some niche services available in a handful of countries in some languages. From country and regional benchmarking surveys, most employers offer telehealth services through an existing vendor such as EAP or health plan. This shares information about how global employers offer telehealth services outside of the U.S., as well as highlights from three virtual health solutions in the global space.
